SCHOOL ACCOUNTABILITY
Vote NO on Bonds & Overrides this November!
It’s time to send a message to school bureaucrats that they will no longer be rewarded for F- performance. Money is not the problem—it's a lack of TRUE EDUCATION, being replaced by social activism.
This November, many school districts, cities and towns are holding Special Elections, asking voters to decide the fate of various Bonds (additional funding for capital items like equipment, school renovations, etc.) and Overrides (provides additional funding above that provided by the state).
Don’t be fooled by the groups in favor of these bonds & overrides, many that support them stand to profit from increasing YOUR property taxes!
Here are some questions to ask yourself before filling out your ballot:
Is my school district using my hard-earned money appropriately, or are students in my district struggling to read and write?
How are my district’s test scores? Arizona’s public schools earn a dismal 45th place out of 50 states, and they are below the national average for math and reading with 30% of kids performing below the basic level.
Check your property tax statement. How much is already going to schools? In many districts, it could be as high as 66%!
Why you should vote NO in Scottsdale Unified School District Maintenance & Operations Override (Include SUSD VOTE NO image)
SUSD still has $18 million in Covid relief money to be spent by 2024. SUSD should use this money for salaries and benefits for the TEACHERS, not administration.
SUSD’s test scores are declining and enrollment is declining all while spending is increasing.
SUSD is allowing teachers to sign a pledge to teach Critical Race Theory (CRT) and all other social justice-oriented curriculum to children, regardless of the law or the wishes of parents.
We need your help! Please donate so we can continue to educate voters and hold schools accountable!
Share this message with parents, friends and taxpayers you know: (sample message) I’m Voting NO on SUSD’s Maintenance & Operations Override election because money is NOT the problem. Schools are failing to EDUCATE kids, but instead, teach activism and confusion. The majority of property taxes already fund schools, while AZ schools rank near the bottom in reading and math proficiency. I urge you to vote NO as well!
